Came back today from Fairmont hotel. In order to avoid waiting for another hour for the normal room, we decided to upgrade to a room on the executive level and it was super nice=) The view of Singapore's night scene from my room was just a little short of breathtaking, but nevertheless it was very pleasant. I will be staying in Singapore hotels every weekend since my parents cannot take the time off for a holiday haha. Blessing in disguise. Ok but every year we go stay in S'pore hotels , and it's mostly the same few. Always alternating between fairmont/swissotel(s)/raffles/ritzcarlton/marriot etc. But S'pore hotels are nice to stay in so I don't mind and enjoy the experience.
Oh goodness the laptop 'w' key is spoilt and jabbing at it so many times before the letter comes out is tiring, so now I have to use another keyboard and the keys are SO deep. Oh well, just have to get used to it. AH the typing sound is really quite loud.
Oh and we're painting the house. My dad chose to do it DIY and we've been helping out. Today I was sitting precariously on the ledge of top of my house porch because my brother was too afraid of heights to do the front part. Anyway I find painting fun and I absolutely love heights, with 1 exception. I HATE ROCK CLIMBING. I have no idea why but I just can't stand rock climbing. I remember the time during OBS when I was climbing halfway why my shoe started sliding off so I told the instructor I couldn't carry on and she somehow did not understand me and started telling me how I should not give up and kept egging me on. In the end my shoe really came off and I fell off=( However it wasn't totally because of that. I just hate rock climbing. Period.
Today my family just received a 2009 calender by post on it were 2009 fortunes for the different zodiac animals, and after checking mine, jobs that are suited for me are: Actor, gardener, beachcomber -___-''
Okayyy.. what does a beachcomber do anyway? Walk down beaches and collect sea shells, and then master the 'she sells sea shells on the seashore' tongue twister? Haha, pardon me for my ignorance.

Bruce snorted at the bad pun. “You were a musician?”
The Joker looked mildly insulted. “I still am!”
“Who dresses up as a clown.”
A pause in the air, like a cleft, and Bruce asked wryly, “Isn’t there some unspoken rule somewhere that says musicians are supposed to take themselves seriously?”
“Oh yes. Ca-no-ni-cal and Con-sci-en-tious,” The Joker smacked his painted lips, grinning widely. “Where dedication to your craft means looking dour, wearing black, and talfking wif plumfs inf yourf moufth. Do you know what a virtuoso is?”
A sigh. “I know you’re about to tell me.”
“A musician with Very High Morals; I’m sure we all know one in our lives. And you know what music is? A complex organizations of sounds that is set down by somebody dead with a quill, incorrectly interpreted by somebody alive with a baton, who is then ignored by the musicians, the result of which is ignored by the audience.”
“Were you any good? At your- craft?” Even as he asked, Bruce wondered if their surreal conversation here on the rainy rooftops of Gotham would have constituted as flirting, something two people would do over dinner as they sized up each other’s potential. Granted the layers of palavers were more convoluted, and the stakes an unknown.. but it was also to disarm the Joker, he told himself. If he could get under the Joker’s skin as effectively as the Joker had gotten under his, he might have a chance of stopping Gordon’s plans from occurring.
The expression on the Joker’s face had turned inwards. “The devil is in the details. And I was very detailed. So, yes, Batsy. One might say one that. And you know the funny thing? In return for all our craft, all the reviews and encores and adulation, we still aren’t allowed to come in through the front doors. No. The way to the hall, sire, is through the garbage disposal doors, past the smoky kitchens, back stairs, freight elevator... but you have to suffer for your art. Everybody knows that.”
“So you turned to the art of murder instead? To share the suffering?”
“Or, to get your attention!” This time the Joker’s grin was rakish.
“And now you have it.” Bruce narrowed his eyes at him. “Except that’s not really what you want, is it? Nothing would ever be enough.”
“Ah Batsy, dear. You’ve yet to hear my masterpiece! Watch and listen. There’s music in my madness!”
“You’re not mad. “ Bruce said firmly. “Just taking the easy way out.”
“Oh-ahahaha! Not mad! Oh Batsy, I’m mad. I’m mad.” And abruptly there was so much anger suddenly pouring out of the Joker that his voice vibrated like a harp about to break, even as it fell to a whisper, filling the air- thickening it with the faceless ghosts of long-held festers. They pulled at Bruce, made him feel the old aches within him respond; his own rages, so long without voice, silently asserting themselves. Years of hard won discipline enabled him to clamp down on this rise of empathy and commiseration, strangled them before they gave voice to his own inner darkness. He knew then how close it had been for him, how near he had been to drowning it in his sorrow the way the Joker had, all those years ago.
But he also knew it was too late, the Joker was no longer a cut out cardboard monster. He had a voice, a face; there was a man behind the monster.
It only made the monster so much harder to bear.

OK
Today was chinese Olevels. And it was suprisingly OK. Go define OK. OK
I'm happy to say that up to 23 May 2008. I've seen 3 gay couples, proper gay couples. 1 of them was ok. All ok except for the pink/purple matching. The other two pairs were just undescribable. All TOO HOT=) WHeeeee...
Chinese 'O's are over, can't wait to start on my books=) But I still have to practise HARD for oral. HEHEHE.
And this is the end of another typical day-of-my-life post.

CAMBODIA!!!!
CAME BACK FROM SIEM REAP-CAMBODIA, EXACTLY 11AM TOUCHDOWN AT CHANGI AIRPORT.
I LOVE CAMBODIA!!! IT'S SOOO FUNN((: HAD A GREAT TIME, REALLY ENJOYED MYSELF THERE.
THE FIRST DAY WE CAUGHT THE SUNRISE(IN THE PLANE) AND THE SUNSET(AT THE TOP OF THE ANKOR WATT TEMPLES) CLIMBING UP WAS SUPER FUN... TREKKING DOWN WAS EVEN MORE FUN.. AND GUESS WHAT? THERE WAS A PUDDLE ON TOP AND I COULD SEE THE MOSQUITO LARVAE SQUIRMING AROUND IN IT. THEN THERE WAS THE TEACHING AND LIBRARY CREATING AT TAPANG PRIMARY. EVERYTHING ABOUT IT WAS FUN. ESPECIALLY THE PAINTING OF TABLES WITH OUR BARE HANDS-LITERALLY. THERE WERE NO BRUSHES, SO WE USED OUR HANDS. SEEING THE FINISHED LIBRARY WAS LIKE-WOW!! THE KIDS THERE WERE SO SUPER CUTE AND THERE WAS THIS GROUP OF TINY LITTLE BOYS WHO WERE SITTING IN A CORNER LAUGHING CUTELY FOR NO APPARANT REASON. ALSO, THEY LIKED HANING THEIR PHOTOS TAKEN AND AGAIN, WOULD GIGGLE CUTELY. THEN THERE WAS THE SHOPPING, AND BARGAINING. THAT WAS FUN. THE FOOD THERE WAS NICE. ALTHOUGH FOR THE FIRST DAY NOBODY WAS USED TO THE FOOD THAT WE ALL THOUGHT DILUTED ROSE SYRUP DRINK WAS HEAVEN. GOING TO THE SUPERMARKET WAS HEAVEN TOO. THEY HAVE LOTS OF ANIMALS ROAMING AROUND ON THE STREETS-DOGS,DUCKS, CHICKEN, COWS, BUFFALOS ET CETERA. AND THEN THERE WAS THE NICE HOTEL-CHANGED 3 ROOMS(LONG STORY), AND LASTLY THERE WAS ROSIE(WHO WASN'T ALL THAT FUN) AND THEN THE GOSSIP, FIREWORKS AND ANOTHER EXCITING STUFF. Hols
The holidays have finally begun!!!
Watched stardust on thurday!!!! It was marvelously nice!! And uhh.. peachy:D And the captain was bloody cute(: *eeehh*
We had to go to 3 cinemas to find places and in the end we didn't even get to sit together. *Can't wait for the movie marathon next month:D
On friday, we had combined dragon boating with crescent girls' red cross. It was FUN! I really enjoyed it, I hope I will get to oppurtunities to dragin boat.. Whee!! After that Luth and I had to rush to Macpherson to meet the person in charge at the old folks home. It was VERY difficult to catch a cab while standing at the roadside of the highway. Is it illegal? I'm not sure. Anyway, I finally managed to confirm a home visit. That's one mpre thing done. YAY.
Today we went for the remembrance day at Kranji War Memorial and Labrador Battery. I woke up at 5am today!! I think it's the earliest I've ever woken up on a Sunday. It was a bit boring and my legs and shoulders were very sore from standing in that slope for an hour in 'senang-diri' position, but it was quite meaningful.
Tomorrow's job attachment day! Hooray!

Watched stardust on thurday!!!! It was marvelously nice!! And uhh.. peachy:D And the captain was bloody cute(: *eeehh*
We had to go to 3 cinemas to find places and in the end we didn't even get to sit together. *Can't wait for the movie marathon next month:D
On friday, we had combined dragon boating with crescent girls' red cross. It was FUN! I really enjoyed it, I hope I will get to oppurtunities to dragin boat.. Whee!! After that Luth and I had to rush to Macpherson to meet the person in charge at the old folks home. It was VERY difficult to catch a cab while standing at the roadside of the highway. Is it illegal? I'm not sure. Anyway, I finally managed to confirm a home visit. That's one mpre thing done. YAY.
Today we went for the remembrance day at Kranji War Memorial and Labrador Battery. I woke up at 5am today!! I think it's the earliest I've ever woken up on a Sunday. It was a bit boring and my legs and shoulders were very sore from standing in that slope for an hour in 'senang-diri' position, but it was quite meaningful.
Tomorrow's job attachment day! Hooray!

Ah
Oh goodness I woke up at 9.45 today. I feel sorry for most of my HMT friends who have to wake up early to take their MT Olevels today.. Good Luck!!
I'm glad that now our lessons are in the IT resource room so we need not suffer from the effects of global warming.
I think that the teletubbies and scary. (Shah thought that they were spelled as tellytubbies and said her mom banned her from watching them last time cause she said that they looked like demons)
No offense to the teletubbies and their fans though ^^;;
Ohgod BIO and CHEM SPA is on thursday and Friday and I still have no idea what to do.
A few weeks ago I finally took Shahiylia's advice and went to see John Barrowman and the Torchwood kiss and other related John B videos on youtube. It was HOT!!! Actually I've seen John B before on the 'Springtime for Hitler'(The producers I think) and 'De Lovely' but I just didn't know it was him. Oh and btw, you should watch: Putting it togeher blooper. It's cute.
Can't wait to watch STARDUST on Saturday!! Hooray hooray hooray :D
Funny sight yesterday: After Math remedial Shahiylia and I parted ways. When Shah was crossing the road, she passed Carol. Carol apparantly saw her and started walking closer to her. Shah started walking faster and FASTER in the other direction(Knowing that Shah has a certain dislike for her)determined to 'lose' Carol, but CArol just kept keeping up. I don't know what happened in the end and whether Shah managed to 'escape from the clutches' of Carol. Poor thing.
Oh and I remember the "detour! detour!" incident too. (Shah should know what I'm talking about)
I'm quite looking forward to the Cambodia trip and the work attachment thing(:

effing stressed
Oh god, the heavy and dreaded subject like: chemistry/chinese/amath/geog(e)/biology/emath/econs are coming up!!!! And to think I still have the time to blog.
My friend and I have been and will be going for tuition 6 DAYS STRAGHT! Today's the fourth day already.. 2 more days to go! Hey guess what? We witnessed the birth of Hamsters!!! The newborns were so pink/furless/eyeless and were disgustingly squirming around and moving their limbs in a way that'll make you freak out. Ooh and the 2 bunnies are SSOOOO LOVING AND CUTE.. Ahaha and the lonely and 'extra-smamritan' hamster. AHAHAHAHAHAH!!! Today we were going to the toilet then we saw this GeeVee guy (from the GeeVee office where every single employee behaves in a way that resembles that of gays and the office is just glaringly white and they wear white everyday except on saturdays and they sit around all day doing nothing much except looking and acting bitchy and bimbotically) So this GeeVee guy sashayed out of his office whistling and went past us.. and guess what we saw him carrying?? A POTTED PLANT WITH A FORK STUCK ON THE SOIL!!! XXDD SO RANDOM! My friend and I had to try SO hard to control our laughter and had to wait till he entered the gents before we could start guffawing and laughing at him. We were so HORRIBLY AMUSED. OK, then we went to the ladies and started laughing madly and talking about him when suddenly, he sashayed past again.. which made us laugh even more. Then, we went out and guess what? We saw him and his potted plant(and the fork) sashaying(again) and walking in an even more feminine way than the woman beside him ,and very obviously, us. If you don't get it, picture this: A guy with a botox face, wearing a white office shirt, black trousers, neatly gelled and combed back hair, walking while shaking his ass, with one arm outstretched with a potted plant with a fork stuck in it and the other stretched out to form a bitchy pose. Hilarious eh?
The mind-boggling riddle: Why did the boy fall down the stairs?
Answer: Because his snail likes tomatoes.
Clues: Cows do physics and whales come from flowers.
*Caution: This takes up a lot of brain power(The quickest person to figure it out took 1 week) Do not attempt to crack this riddle during the examination period.
Tip: Search deeply into your soul and think about the philosophy of the joke.

yay for the knights of NI!
i have finally, finished the sandman book.. ohgosh i've been reading it since 10august- a whole SIXTEEN DAYS to finish- that was long
this term, i passed amath- although i only got exactly 50, a pass is still a PASS!! hope i can pass next term too
i have just found this perfect picture on deviantart.. i searched for descendants of darkness and there it was! it had 4 of the scenes i most wanted to see and have been searching for for the past few weeks.. 1- unconcious guy 2-blushing guy 3,4-guy in pain.. i'm telling you, if only all these were put together.. guy with fever, on bed, blushing(because of fever) and in pain *screams* actually, without the 'in pain' part's okay too.. replace it with slight panting- all the better^^
oh yesterday i watched the later part of the finals of campus superstar2, i was sort of hoping benjamin would win, but he didnt although he quite obviously performed better(according to the judges and everything) but yeah, that's that. i realise that for most of this kind of competitions, it will most of the time be the male who wins.. i guess they just are a bit more popular, even if they do not perform as well as the females. oh! watched HAiRSPRAY on tuesday and it was NICE(: the songs were catchy and it was quite meaningful. CAN'T WAIT FOR FLOORPLAY THIS COMING THURSDAY(:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE!!! YAY IT'S NATIONAL DAY TODAY..AND IT'S AT MARINA BAY( HEY, IT RHYMES!).. I REALLY WANT TO GO BUT HAVE TO TICKETS HAHA.. AND YEP! Paraskevidekatriaphobia
so many things coming up!! CAs, formative tests, springtests, napfa, exams, competitions.. oh and file checks!
i'm really glad that our chinese project is finally finishing! yesterday we were supposed to have a maximum take of 5 times but ended up doing it 12 times.. but i enjoyed it.. TSL's house is really super duper neat!!
ohgod english oral's coming up on thursday and chinese oral's next monday!!
do u know what PARASKEVIDEKATRIAPHOBIA means? it's the phobia of friday the 13th.. i wonder who can be so superstitious to have that phobia?? but it does exist..
anyway, friday the 13th just passed and it wasn't bad.. it fact itwas quite good!
new person i like: graham chapman!!! i know he's passed on.. but he's cute nevertheless.. fine days in monty python.. wonderful sketches.. great talent!

shrek
watched shrek 3 today.. it was short but nice((: i like arthur(he doesnt sound like justin timberlake though).. and guess what? JOHN CLEESE was the one who voiced the king( frog)!! totally unexpected.. after the movie, we just walked around. reeaallly sloowwlyy.. about 2 to 3 seconds per step. haha. oh and yisze bought an apple shaped turqoise pendant(with necklace) and the shop owner was really scary! he said something like "if the apple drops out you can use superglue to stick it back but you must never throw it away" eerie. and he mumbled stuff and preached, and mumbled somemore.
so i thought of this creepy story.
the guy got these items from somewhere(bought it or sth), then learnt that there is a curse on those items. You can't get rid of them by giving them away or throwing them away if not you'll be cursed. the only way of getting rid of them is if someone takes it willingly. so he decides to open a shop and sell the things away. so the ppl buying the stuff would taking the stuff willingly and will be the next victims..

Watched pirates of the carribean 3! it was nice(: (why are there so many bad reviews on it?) going to watch shrek3 tmr.. yay
today went to the IT fair @suntec convention ctr.. it was soo crowded! bought 2 lenovo laptops.. yay again. have been watching so many episodes of "shen diao xia lu" it's not bad.. but sometimes it's quite slow moving.
haven't actually watched campus superstar 2 but there's 1 person i like (no idea what's his name, but he has nice lips!) ahaha
next week going for the student leadership camp, and going to HK the following week. haven't even started packing my bags yet!
*recently i have come across MANY ppl (esp. women) with long, thick, curly armpit hair wearing sleeveless clothing.. eww! why don't they do anything about it??
it's NOT sexy! just utterly disgusting:(

MYEs
the mid year results are all out..
they are TERRIBLE.. worst results in all my life
1A, 2Bs, 4Cs , 1D, 1F (OMFG)
better buck up and study MUCH harder
oh we've got a new economics teacher, he's so cute(but not in a hot way, more like in a dory way.. so rest assured, i'm not turned on).. so gay(ahaha) much more interesting than our previous teacher, also, his lessons are extremely animated and full of 'emotion'.. although i can't really tell how effective he is yet after only half a lesson with him.
Today, went for the rio tinto big science competition thing.. it was so difficult! somemore it has physics questions (so i'm at a disadvantage since i don't take physics BA!)
OK.. the hols are coming up.. can't wait for pirates of the carribean to start screening..
but i'm totally not looking forward to the student leadership camp.. aaahh
i realise that everything i talked about above^ are all very mundane stuff.. sry(:

loving today
i totally love today after school in the RCR... it's the first time i actually felt carefree, comfortable and relaxed in the RCR.. with my beloved squaddies... i love this squad6 (ayuni syafiqah, syafiqah, isabel, luthfiyyah, alisa and me!) we painted the banner, took turns to tell ghost stories, and also throwing things around... it was so perfect (wonderful squad bonding) i really got to see a different side to some of my squaddies. i wonder whether if it can stay like this ( i really hope so). i shall remember this day, the first ever, true squad, everyone together, going through happiness(the whole time), fun(throwing stuff around), doing stuff(painting), fear (ghost stories) yes i know i'm like repeating everything over and over again.. but i really love this (:
